IA Summit 2010: This One Goes to Eleven -- The Best Conversations Happen in the Hall

Jennifer Bohmbach

Conference Chair

Since 1995, Jennifer has been part of teams that work collaboratively to create digital products. She has held positions in senior consulting roles in the advertising and user experience fields and management roles and individual contribution roles inside of large corporations. Two of her main roles, Chief Information Architect at Sun Microsystems from 2004-2007 and Experience Design Practice Director at connect@jwt as part of J.Walter Thompson's early foray into the digital services industry, gave her a perspective that has seen many diverse client challenges. She currently brings that perspective & experience to bear in her work as a User Experience consultant for EightShapes, LLC.

Her education in English and Theater trained her to work within a creative collaborative process. Before the web, she worked in the User Experience design trenches as a Starbucks Barista and a Key-Op at Kinkos. She feels it was some of that foundational learning that she continues to draw on for inspiration & empathy.

Livia Labate

Co-chair

Livia Labate is a user experience designer practicing in Philadelphia at Comcast Interactive Media. She currently volunteers on the IA Institute Board of Directors and is co-chairing the 2010 and 2011 IA Summits. In other words, she loves the UX world and enjoys giving back to the community.
